Expanded Duties Dental Assistant (EDDA) –Lexington, KY

Department: Main Institution Dental Clinic
Pay: $25/hour – W-2
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Expanded Duties Dental Assistant (EDDA) to provide dental assisting services at the Federal Medical Center (FMC) Lexington Main Institution Dental Clinic.
Schedule
- Monday–Friday, excluding Federal Holidays
- Clinic hours: 6:00 AM–2:30 PM
- Standard workday: 8 hours
- 30-minute unpaid meal break
- Up to 40 hours per week
- Occasional schedule adjustments may be required based on institutional operational needs
- Candidates must be flexible and able to accommodate reasonable schedule changes within clinic hours
- No services are scheduled or performed on Federal Holidays
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of dental assisting work experience
- Current Kentucky EDDA certification or applicable compact-state credential
- Current AHA CPR/BLS certification
- Dental radiography certification/credential
- Documentation of expanded-function training
- Applicable professional registrations and certifications
- Documentation of required health/TB testing when requested
- Additional documentation required for federal credentialing and security clearance
