ELG Federal Solutions is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Paralegal to support the United States Attorney's Office (USAO), Eastern District of Louisiana. This position provides direct legal, administrative, and litigation support to Assistant United States Attorneys (AUSAs) handling federal civil and criminal matters.
The successful candidate will assist with legal document preparation, case management, trial preparation, legal research, records management, and courtroom support while working in a fast-paced federal legal environment. Situational telework may be authorized in accordance with agency policy.

The successful candidate will assist with legal document preparation, case management, trial preparation, legal research, records management, and courtroom support while working in a fast-paced federal legal environment. Situational telework may be authorized in accordance with agency policy.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and process legal documents including complaints, motions, pleadings, subpoenas, affidavits, summonses, search warrants, judgments, and notices.
- Draft routine legal correspondence and other legal documentation.
- Support attorneys in trial preparation by organizing trial notebooks, witness lists, exhibit lists, and jury instructions.
- Verify legal citations and statutory references using legal research resources.
- Maintain electronic and physical case files.
- Update and manage cases using automated case tracking systems.
- Schedule hearings, depositions, meetings, interviews, and trial dates.
- Coordinate with law enforcement agencies, courts, and government personnel.
- Assemble exhibits, affidavits, discovery materials, and supporting documentation.
- Produce professional legal documents, spreadsheets, tables, charts, and presentations.
- Assist with courtroom technology and litigation presentation support.
- Arrange authorized travel for attorneys when required.
- Provide general administrative and clerical support to Assistant United States Attorneys.
Minimum Qualifications
- Associate's Degree, Bachelor's Degree, or Paralegal Certificate preferred.
- Previous experience as a Paralegal, Legal Assistant, or Litigation Support Specialist.
- Experience supporting attorneys in litigation or government legal environments is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of legal terminology, legal documentation, and court procedures.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting strict deadlines.
- Professional demeanor with strong customer service skills.

Security Requirements
Selected candidates must:
- Successfully complete a DOJ Background Investigation prior to beginning work.
- Meet DOJ residency requirements.
- Be eligible to work on sensitive federal matters.
- Sign required confidentiality and nondisclosure agreements.
