Workforce Coordinator (H-2A Program)
Location: Cadillac, MI USA
About the Role
We are looking for a highly organized and people-focused Workforce Coordinator to support our H-2A workforce operations from recruitment through contract completion. This role plays a critical part in ensuring smooth onboarding, strong communication, and successful workforce management across multiple job sites.
You’ll serve as a key connection between workers, customers, and internal teams—helping create a positive, productive, and compliant work environment.
What You’ll Do
Recruitment & Placement
- Source and screen candidates through referrals and inbound inquiries
- Evaluate skills and match workers to contract requirements
- Maintain and manage a qualified candidate waiting list
- Coordinate worker assignments based on customer needs and job duties
Pre-Arrival & Onboarding Coordination
- Manage communication with workers, customers, and internal teams
- Coordinate consulate appointments, documentation, and onboarding through systems like Seso
- Ensure housing, transportation, and arrival logistics are prepared
- Verify worker documentation and onboarding completion
Worker Orientation & Support
- Conduct on-site orientations, including policies, pay, and expectations
- Facilitate training, paperwork completion, and compliance requirements
- Support crew leaders with timekeeping setup and guidance
- Act as a resource for workers throughout the contract
Ongoing Workforce Management
- Maintain regular communication with crew leaders and customers
- Monitor attendance, performance, and workforce needs
- Address issues proactively and support team productivity
- Ensure alignment between worker expectations and customer requirements
Contract Closeout
- Coordinate end-of-contract logistics and communication
- Ensure smooth transitions for workers and customers
- Support travel planning and proper offboarding procedures
What We’re Looking For
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Excellent communication skills (bilingual Spanish / English a requirement)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
- Comfortable coordinating logistics, travel, and workforce schedules
- Experience in agriculture, staffing, HR, or workforce coordination is a plus
