Role and Responsibilities
The Shipping Specialist is responsible for ensuring customer orders are fulfilled correctly and shipped without mispicks, shorts, or duplicates. They also pack customer orders and secure postage for those parcels using postage purchasing software.
Responsibilities:
- Packs outgoing customer orders according to packing SOP
- Verifies order pick list/packing list is completed
- Ship orders using shipping software and Shipping Carrier Rates Chart
- Print daily pick list/packing slips
- Purchase postage for parcels and applies shipping labels
- Reports any supply shortages/needs to Lead for ordering
- Assists with interdepartmental projects, as needed
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- High school diploma, or equivalent
- An eye for detail
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Basic desktop computer skill
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Ability to handle fragile objects
- Ability to work on your feet
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Shipstation or similar software
Wages
- $19-$21 ( depending on experience)
Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
