What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shipping and Packaging Specialist position at GR Pottery Forms?
We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Shipping and Packaging Specialist to prepare, package, label, and ship customer orders accurately and on time. This role is responsible for ensuring products are inspected, protected, documented, and shipped in a timely and efficient way. Approximately 30 packages per day.
The job also involves prepping approximately 300 wood parts per day. This involves light sanding and branding the wood parts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Pick, pack, inspect, and prepare products for shipment while ensuring order accuracy.
- Select appropriate boxes, protective materials, labels, and packaging methods to prevent damage during transit.
- Process shipments using Shopify shipping software, carrier portals, or related tools.
- Verify product counts, part numbers, order details, and shipping addresses before release.
- Communicate shipping issues, delays, damages, or inventory discrepancies..
- Receive, organize, restock, and monitor packaging supplies to support daily operations.
- Keep the shipping and packaging area clean, organized, safe, and compliant.
- Follow all safety guidelines when handling products, tools, equipment, and materials.
- Assist with warehouse, inventory, receiving, or fulfillment tasks as needed.
- Prep and stock inventory.
Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
