The Opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled Bookkeeper / QuickBooks Online Specialist to join our accounting team. In this role, you'll manage day-to-day bookkeeping functions for multiple clients using QuickBooks Online, while working alongside our experienced CPAs and tax professionals. You'll be responsible for ensuring accurate financial records, strong internal controls, and timely reporting—all while building strong relationships with our diverse client base.
Key Responsibilities
● Manage bookkeeping functions for multiple clients across various industries and business structures
● Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable for assigned clients
● Enter and process vendor bills, customer invoices, payments, and deposits in QuickBooks Online
● Perform bank and credit card reconciliations
● Maintain accurate general ledgers for client accounts
● Monitor client financial activity and flag issues or discrepancies
● Perform month-end and year-end closing procedures
● Prepare financial reports and statements for clients and management review
● Set up and maintain QuickBooks Online systems for new and existing clients
● Communicate with clients regarding bookkeeping matters, outstanding invoices, and financial records
● Work collaboratively with CPAs and tax professionals on client engagements
● Identify opportunities to streamline client accounting processes and improve workflows
● Train clients on QuickBooks Online features and best practices as needed
● Maintain confidentiality and manage multiple client files with attention to detail
What We're Looking For
● Expert proficiency with QuickBooks Online
● 3 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience
● Experience managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger accounting
● Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial statements
● Experience working with multiple clients or in a multi-client accounting environment
● Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
● Comfortable managing multiple priorities and client deadlines
● Ability to identify problems and recommend solutions
● Professional communication skills and client-facing experience
● Experience with accounting software implementations or client onboarding is a plus
