Full-Time Position
About the Position
Legacy Consulting Group is seeking a detail-oriented, experienced Tax Associate to join our team. This is a full-time position for a motivated professional with solid experience in tax or accounting. You will handle tax preparation and accounting work for our clients, ensure compliance, and communicate effectively with team members.
What You'll Do
- Prepare accurate and compliant tax returns for individuals and businesses, including 1040, 1041, 1065, 1120, and 1120S returns
- Review and analyze client financial documents and records to identify relevant tax information and ensure completeness
- Organize and input financial data into UltraTax CS, QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Desktop, and CRM systems, maintaining accuracy and proper documentation throughout the process
- Manage multiple tax preparation projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines while maintaining quality standards
- Support team members with research, document preparation, and other project needs
- Maintain strict confidentiality of all client information and company records
What We're Looking For
- Professional experience in tax preparation or accounting
- Strong skills with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable working with financial documents and confidential information
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to learn our processes and contribute to our workflow
Preferred
- Multiple years of tax preparation or accounting experience
- Bachelor degree in accounting or finance
- CPA, CPA candidate, or Enrolled Agent (EA) credential
- Experience with UltraTax CS, QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Desktop, or similar software
- Experience in a client-facing role
- Willingness to work extended hours during tax season (approximately 50 hours per week)
