Construction Project Manager

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Oversee site construction activities; serve as primary contact with the customer and/or sales team for coordination of project.
• Provide day to day management of the overall construction function to ensure contractual schedules and financial commitments are met.
• Represent LBS on technical and contractual issues and provide relevant expertise to support overall project execution and construction management.
• Implement processes to oversee and monitor site schedule to identify issues and take proactive measures to maintain progress of construction contractor.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex problems between all project constituents.
• Maintain clear lines of communication and provide regular project updates and reporting.
• Work with Safety Director to develop and maintain worksite safety program, to include: Job Hazard Analysis; Job Safety Analysis; daily safety meetings; and enforcing safety procedures.
• Develop and train Foreman and trainers to install Legacy buildings in an efficient matter while holding quality to a high standard.
• Review packing lists, bolt quantities and install drawings to ensure correct materials and quantities are accounted for. Confirm details on drawings are correct and clear for install typical install procedures.
• Be an active member of the R&D team, complete mockups for new ideas to do in house testing to ensure the final result will work in the field.

ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Diploma or GED
• Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management is preferred; construction management and/or site supervisor experience may be substituted. At least 2 years of experience in a similar role is required. 
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating/maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
  • Extensive travel is required, some internationally.
  • Some evening and weekend work is required.
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Ability to work with diverse personalities and cultures in a team environment.
  • Well organized and detail oriented
  • Steel building construction experience
