Position Summary
We are seeking experienced Contract Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to join our care team in an IDD Group Home setting. In this role, the LPN will provide skilled nursing care, monitor resident health, and train direct support staff to ensure the highest quality of care. This is an open contract position, offering flexibility for nurses who wish to support our program without a fixed end date.
Responsibilities
Deliver nursing support and interventions for residents in our IDD Group Home
Monitor, document, and report changes in health status to physicians and supervisors
Administer prescribed treatments and medications in compliance with regulations
Support management of chronic conditions, including bowel care and other medical needs
Conduct staff education and in-service training on health and safety procedures
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, families, and healthcare providers
Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations, as well as agency policies
Qualifications
Current Georgia LPN license in good standing
Minimum 1 year of nursing experience (IDD, long-term care, or home health strongly preferred)
Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills
Compassionate, patient, and professional demeanor
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
BLS (or willingness to obtain upon contract start)
