Title: Assistant Men’s Soccer CoachDepartment: AthleticsReports to: Head Men’s Soccer CoachCategory: Part-timeSummary/ObjectiveReporting to the Head Men’s Soccer Coach, the Assistant Men’s Soccer Coach is responsible for assisting the head coach in meeting the goals of guiding and building an elite-level NCAA Division II program. This requires the promotion of academic achievement and character of the student-athlete, fans, and the overall College community. The Assistant Men’s Soccer Coach will be responsible for the implementation and coaching of a full developmental team, individual player development, recruiting coordination for the entire program, game day preparation, opponent scouting, academic monitoring, and on-field coaching during practices. A focus on recruitment and retention of student-athletes, game preparation, generation of net tuition revenue, and meticulous budget management are essential for this position. Coach can be outside for team activities and extra skill sessions.Position Type/Expected Hours of WorkThis is a Part-time position that will require evening and weekend work. Days and hours of work will vary. Monday through Friday hours can be 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. or 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Frequent evening and weekend work is required for recruitment and game competitions.TravelTravel may be required, including accompanying the team to both home and away competitions and participating in recruiting activities as part of coaching responsibilities.
