A South Miami–based corporate headquarters is seeking a detail-oriented Senior Financial Analyst – Risk Management to support the company’s insurance, surety, and risk-analysis programs. This role offers a mix of financial analysis, data management, and business partnership across multiple divisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Risk Management team with all aspects of corporate insurance and surety programs.
- Develop and maintain complex financial models and data comparisons in Excel.
- Compile and validate data from internal systems, third-party claim administrators, and brokers for accuracy and reporting.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual variance analyses and reconciliation reports.
- Collaborate with multiple departments to collect, review, and consolidate exposure data for insurance renewals and submissions.
- Partner with brokers and actuaries to provide accurate data and financial analysis.
- Assist with due diligence and post-acquisition integration for M&A activities.
- Support actuarial analyses by preparing loss-run and exposure data for variance reviews.
- Maintain integrated databases to monitor losses and exposures across all coverage lines.
- Manage department invoices, journal entries, and general-ledger reconciliations.
- Prepare PowerPoint presentations and summary reports for senior leadership.
- Participate in audits and other special projects as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field required.
- Advanced Excel skills (complex formulas, pivot tables, lookups, automation).
- Experience with databases and ERP systems such as Oracle preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data-modeling abilities.
- Proven skill in preparing financial reports, dashboards, and reconciliations.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Highly organized, dependable, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
- Self-starter who works independently and takes initiative to improve processes.
