Our client in Miami is seeking a billing specialist well versed in Legal Billing to join their team! The Billing Specialist manages the firm's revenue cycle by generating accurate invoices, tracking billable hours, handling expenses, managing accounts receivable, and resolving client billing issues, requiring strong attention to detail, knowledge of legal billing software , and excellent communication to work with attorneys and clients while ensuring compliance with fee agreements and legal ethics.
Key Responsibilities
- Invoice Generation: Compiling, editing, finalizing, and posting client invoices, often involving complex fee arrangements (e.g., discounts, split billing).
- Monitoring and verifying attorney billable hours and related disbursements.
- Responding to client inquiries, explaining invoices, and resolving discrepancies.
- Preparing and submitting electronic bills to clients or third parties.
- Assisting with month-end closings and general accounting tasks.
- Ensuring billing practices adhere to firm policies, client agreements, and legal ethics standards.
Essential Skills & Qualifications
