- Establishing personal goals that are consistent with dealership standards of productivity and devising strategies to meet those goals.
- Maintaining product knowledge of new and pre-owned inventory; understanding the vehicle features and describing their benefits top customers.
- Demonstrating automobiles by explaining the characteristics, capabilities, and features; participating in test drives, comparing competitive models, as well as explaining warranties and services.
- Prospecting and following up daily with potential customers and maintaining rapport with previous customers.
- Learning to overcome objections, asking for the sale, negotiating the sale, completing lease and purchase agreements, explaining warranties, services and other dealership products.
- Following dealership safety policies and procedures.
- Previous experience as an automotive salesperson, with proven history.
- Finance experience is a plus.
- Confidence in your ability to be successful.
- Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Professional appearance and outstanding work ethic.
- Great attitude with high energy personality.
- Superior customer service skills.
- A desire to work in a commission, performance-based, environment.
- Must have a valid driver's license, good driving record.
- Must be able to pass a background test.
