Responsibilities Include
- Perform diagnostic and repair work as outlined on repair orders with efficiency and accuracy, following GM manufacturer standards
- Accurately diagnose the cause of vehicle malfunctions, including engine, transmission, drivability, and major mechanical systems
- Complete all repairs in compliance with applicable safety requirements
- Road test vehicles to verify quality of repairs
- Accurately record labor time using company time clock procedures
- Clearly document all work performed, including diagnostic steps and test results
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace and complete daily stall cleaning
- Ensure customer vehicles are returned as clean as they were received
- Communicate effectively with service advisors, foremen, and management to support customer needs
- Report any condition that may jeopardize safety, integrity, or dealership operations
- Maintain required GM training certifications and actively pursue ongoing training
- Minimum 2 years of GM automotive heavy line technician experience
- ASE certifications preferred
