The Territory Manager is responsible for driving new and existing equipment sales within an assigned geographic territory for Lee Equipment’s Bobcat dealership. This role focuses on building strong business relationships with contractors, municipalities, agriculture operations, and other commercial customers while promoting Bobcat compact equipment, attachments, and allied products. The position requires proactive prospecting, territory management, in‑person customer visits, product demonstrations, and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction throughout the sales process.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Develop new business through outbound sales calls, scheduled customer visits, jobsite walk‑throughs, and equipment demonstrations.
- Identify sales opportunities by researching prospects, understanding customer applications, and analyzing market needs.
- Promote and sell Bobcat equipment, attachments, rentals, service plans, and parts offerings.
- Prepare and follow up on quotes, ensuring accuracy and timely communication throughout the sales cycle.
- Maintain strong relationships with existing customers through regular communication, support, and onsite engagement.
- Utilize CRM tools to manage pipeline, activities, and forecast reporting.
- Serve as a trusted advisor by providing guidance on equipment specifications, sizing, and application requirements.
- Work closely with Service, Parts, Administration, and Management teams to ensure seamless customer experiences.
- Coordinate with the Service Department on machine setups, delivery scheduling, and post‑sale support.
- Partner with Sales Leadership on territory planning, promotional strategies, and competitive positioning.
- Maintain deep knowledge of Bobcat equipment, competitive products, and industry trends.
- Conduct product walk‑arounds, demonstration events, and operator training as needed.
- Support trade‑in evaluations and equipment inspections when required.
The position requires:
- 3–5 years of experience in equipment sales, outside sales, customer-facing heavy equipment roles, or similar fields.
- Strong understanding of construction, agriculture, landscaping, or equipment applications.
- Valid driver’s license with the ability to travel daily throughout the assigned territory.
- Ability to manage multiple high‑value opportunities in a fast‑paced environment.
- High level of professionalism, customer engagement skills, and follow‑through.
- Experience directly selling compact equipment, machinery, or heavy equipment. (Preferred)
- Familiarity with Bobcat or competitive brands. (Preferred)
- CRM experience (Salesforce, CDK, etc.).
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to understand equipment features and applications. (Preferred)
Work Environment:
- Ability to lift 25–50 lbs occasionally during demos or equipment inspections.
- Regular travel within assigned territory; occasional overnight trips for training.
- Frequent work outdoors at customer jobsites and facilities.

§ Salary: Salary range for this role is $36,000 - $48,000 annual base salary, dependent upon experience, plus commission (base commission approx. $125,000 - $150,000/year)
