Customer Service Specialist

Lee County is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Customer Service Representative to join our Animal Services team. In this role, you’ll deliver outstanding customer service, handle inquiries, manage complaints, process orders, and provide vital administrative and operational support. Whether in-person, over the phone, or in the field, you'll interact with the public in a professional and positive manner.What You'll Do

• Serve as the primary contact for customers, resolving inquiries, processing orders, and ensuring satisfaction.
• Assist with forms, reports, and data entry in the department’s database.
• Manage stray animal control requests and communicate with field operations.
• Assist in the veterinary clinic, vaccinate stray animals, and occasionally fill in for Animal Services dispatch.
• Help customers with various needs while maintaining accurate records of interactions.

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or GED (or equivalent)
• One (1) year of fast-paced customer service experience

Preferred Skills

• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
• Animal handling
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Experience with Chameleon software
• Familiarity with communication systems, such as two-way radios and digital cameras
• Strong written and verbal skills; ability to explain policies clearly
• Excellent organizational skills with a focus on problem-solving and customer satisfaction

Work Schedule

• Hours: Monday – Saturday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• Rotations: Rotating days off with one late evening shift each week (until 5:30 p.m.)
