What are the responsibilities and job description for the Customer Service Specialist position at Lee County Government?
- Serve as the primary contact for customers, resolving inquiries, processing orders, and ensuring satisfaction.
- Assist with forms, reports, and data entry in the department’s database.
- Manage stray animal control requests and communicate with field operations.
- Assist in the veterinary clinic, vaccinate stray animals, and occasionally fill in for Animal Services dispatch.
- Help customers with various needs while maintaining accurate records of interactions.
- High school diploma or GED (or equivalent)
- One (1) year of fast-paced customer service experience
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
- Animal handling
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Experience with Chameleon software
- Familiarity with communication systems, such as two-way radios and digital cameras
- Strong written and verbal skills; ability to explain policies clearly
- Excellent organizational skills with a focus on problem-solving and customer satisfaction
Work Schedule
- Hours: Monday – Saturday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- Rotations: Rotating days off with one late evening shift each week (until 5:30 p.m.)
