About the Role
What You’ll Do
As an Official Records Services Entry Level Clerk, you will:
- Provide support to the team in regard to daily operations to ensure functions Responsible for ensuring customer service is a high priority and that customers are treated courteously
- Handle payments accurately and securely
- Accurately balance cash drawer at the beginning and end of each shift
- Accurately and timely accept and process document types brought or sent to ORS
- Become and/or perform duties as a Notary Public of the State of Florida
- Maintain knowledge of duties and requirements to ensure compliance with the Notary Laws of the State of Florida
- Navigate Intranet, LeeClerk.org and Kiosk station
- Meet expected performance measures accurately and timely
- Issue Marriage Licenses and perform Marriage Ceremonies
- Ensure compliance with Florida Statutes; Records Management Policies, Guidelines and Procedures; and Best Practices
- Learn recording fees and document types
- Retrieve, open, sort and distribute mail
- Learn and operate microfilm retrieval system
- Observe Plat recording process
- Gain knowledge of the redaction requirements on a recorded document
- Other duties and/or special projects as assigned

- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Two years of clerical experience or any combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the position duties
- Two years of cash handling experience required
- Two years customer service experience required
