Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive customer service to enhance their dining experience
- Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring all details are correct
- Process payments efficiently with cash handling skills and basic math proficiency
- Upsell menu items and specials to maximize sales opportunities while maintaining guest satisfaction
- Assist with food preparation, food handling, and sanitation to uphold food safety standards
- Clear tables promptly by bussing and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas
- Support kitchen staff by providing timely service, managing guest relations, and ensuring smooth operations during busy hours
- Use reservation platforms like OpenTable to manage bookings and optimize seating arrangements
- Maintain knowledge of menu items, including fine dining options, to answer guest inquiries confidently
- Follow all food safety protocols and sanitation procedures to ensure a safe environment for guests and staff
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly preferred, especially in fine dining or nightclub settings
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous
- Experience in serving, bussing, hosting/hostess roles or cashiering helps build a strong foundation for this position
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle guest relations professionally and courteously
- Knowledge of food industry standards including food handling, sanitation, and safety regulations
- Ability to manage time effectively during high-volume shifts while maintaining quality service
- Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction accuracy
- Culinary or kitchen experience can be a plus for understanding food preparation processes
