What are the responsibilities and job description for the Property Accountant position at Ledgent?
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Property Accountant to join our team in Orange County. This role is ideal for a finance professional with a strong background in property management accounting who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Manage full-cycle accounting for a portfolio of properties
- Prepare monthly financial statements, budgets, and variance reports
- Reconcile bank accounts, tenant ledgers, and general ledger accounts
- Process accounts payable and receivable related to property operations
- Assist with CAM reconciliations and annual audits
- Ensure compliance with lease terms and property management agreements
- 3 years of accounting experience in property management
- Proficiency in property management software (e.g., Yardi, MRI, AppFolio)
- Strong understanding of GAAP and real estate accounting principles
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
Property management experience required.
