Full Charge Bookkeeper
Role Overview
The Full Charge Bookkeeper is responsible for managing the complete accounting cycle for the organization, with a strong focus on construction industry operations. - Working knowledge of Sage/Timberline accounting software.
- Ability to work independently while supporting project managers and operational teams.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to financial accuracy and timeliness.
Accounting Operations
- Manage all core accounting functions, including the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and project accounting using Sage/Timberline.
- Ensure the accuracy and timely processing of all financial transactions.
- Oversee monthly close activities, including posting month-end entries.
- Prepare and ensure accurate financial statements and supporting schedules.
- Provide accounting and financial support to project managers and operations staff.
- Respond to financial inquiries and resolve accounting-related issues to meet business needs.
- Manage licensing and insurance compliance requirements.
- Process releases of liens, Notices to Owner (NTO), and AIA billings.
- Maintain compliance with construction-specific accounting and regulatory requirements.
- Perform job cost reconciliations and bank reconciliations.
- Process payroll and ensure accurate reporting and compliance.
- Strong understanding of construction accounting principles and job costing.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management and ability to meet deadlines.
