Location: South Denver Metro Area (Hybrid)
Schedule: Hybrid - Onsite Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday; Remote Monday and Friday
Compensation: $80,000-$85,000 annually
Employment Type: Temp-to-Hire

About the Opportunity

Our client is seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to join a growing payroll team supporting a large, multi-state workforce. This role is ideal for a payroll professional with strong experience processing union payroll and prevailing wage payroll in a fast-paced environment. The position offers a hybrid work schedule, collaborative team culture, and the opportunity to contribute to an expanding organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Process weekly payroll for approximately 2,000 employees
• Administer union payroll and prevailing wage payroll accurately and timely
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, union, and prevailing wage requirements
• Maintain payroll records and support reporting requirements
• Partner closely with payroll team members and leadership to resolve payroll issues
• Utilize payroll and ERP systems to process payroll transactions and employee data
• Support audits, compliance reviews, and payroll reconciliations
  
  

Qualifications



Required

• Experience processing union payroll
• Experience processing prevailing wage payroll
• Strong understanding of payroll regulations, compliance requirements, and reporting
• Experience handling high-volume payroll in a complex environment
  
  

Preferred

• Experience with Paylocity
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365)
• Background in Renewable Energy, Construction, Industrial Services, or Oil & Gas
• Knowledge of multi-state payroll practices
