AR/Collections Specialist

Position: Direct-hire Collections & AR Specialist

Location: East valley
Compensation: $50,000-$70,000 DOE
Schedule: 100% Onsite

The position is with a private-equity-backed restoration company with approximately 80 employees and $35M in annual revenue. The accounting team is intentionally lean, consisting of only five employees, including the CFO, which gives this role a high level of visibility and exposure compared to larger organizations.

This opening is due to an employee transition, and the CFO is looking for someone to primarily own the collections function while also providing backup support to billing when needed. You'll work directly alongside the Billing Specialist and report into the CFO.

What really stood out to me about this opportunity is that the CFO is very focused on technology, automation, AI, and process improvement. They are currently exploring ways to automate reporting and collections workflows and are looking for someone who embraces new technology rather than relying solely on manual processes.

Some responsibilities include:

• Managing B2B and B2C collections activities
  * Monitoring AR aging and collection performance metrics
  * Preparing collection and KPI reporting
  * Supporting DSO and aging initiatives
  * Researching and resolving customer payment issues
  * Assisting with billing activities when necessary
  * Helping improve processes and collections workflows
  * Supporting future automation initiatives and system enhancements

The company is also preparing for a Sage Intacct implementation, so it's a great opportunity for someone who enjoys process improvements, systems, and helping build scalable procedures.
