Our client, a reputable organization located in Tampa, FL, is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join their team. This individual will play a key role in ensuring timely and accurate processing of weekly and biweekly payrolls using the UKG HRIS system. Hybrid opportunity
$50,000-$60,000
Responsibilities:
- Process weekly and biweekly payroll using the UKG HRIS system
- Enter and verify employee hours from timecards, timesheets, and production records
- Maintain accurate payroll records and ensure a clear audit trail for all transactions
- Generate payroll reports and create custom reports using UKG Reporting tools
- Respond to employee inquiries and troubleshoot payroll issues promptly
- Support year-end processes, including W-2 distribution and reporting requirements
- Maintain and update payroll documentation, including the Payroll Processes Manual
- Utilize HRIS features for compensation and benefits tracking
- Provide payroll data for compensation analysis and historical comparisons
- Cross-train and support backup payroll staff as needed
- Perform additional administrative duties as assigned
Key Qualifications:
- 2 years of payroll processing experience, preferably using UKG (UltiPro/Kronos)
- Strong understanding of payroll compliance, laws, and reporting
- High attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
