Controller (Ventura, CA)

A growing, mid-sized company is seeking a hands-on Controller to oversee full-cycle accounting operations in a small, collaborative office environment. This is a 100% onsite role with an immediate need.

Compensation: $100K-$120K
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Employment Type: Direct Hire

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee full-cycle accounting including AP, AR, and general ledger
• Lead month-end and year-end close processes
• Prepare accurate financial statements in accordance with GAAP
• Manage cash flow, budgeting support, and financial analysis
• Maintain and improve accounting processes and internal controls
• Partner with leadership to provide financial insights
• Support and manage accounting operations in a small team setting

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
• 7 years of progressive accounting experience with leadership exposure
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
• Experience managing full accounting cycles, AP/AR
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, complex formulas)
• Experience with accounting systems such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar ERP

• Comfortable working in a smaller, fast-paced office environment
• Strong accounting foundation with ability to work independently
