Ledgent Finance & Accounting's client is seeking a skilled and organized AP Staff Accountant to join their team in Georgia. This role focuses on managing accounts payable tasks and ensuring efficient accounting operations. The ideal candidate will handle vendor payments, oversee recurring expense activity, reconcile accounts, and contribute to accurate financial reporting.
- Process vendor invoices accurately and timely.
- Track and report on utility and recurring expenses.
- Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve discrepancies related to accounts payable.
- Perform accounts payable account reconciliations, ensuring all balances are accurate and timely.
- Support bank reconciliations by researching and resolving discrepancies related to accounts payable activity.
- Support month-end close processes, including journal entries and accruals.
- Identify opportunities to improve AP processes, efficiency, and overall financial accuracy.
- 3-5 years of accounting experience with at least 2 years in AP.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field strongly preferred.
- Experience using large ERP systems, such as Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, Oracle, or similar required.
- Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Excel and general data analysis.
- Experience with utility or expense tracking systems preferred.
- Experience with document and workflow management systems preferred.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
