Accounts Receivable

Moorpark, CA

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist with 2-4 years of experience to support daily AR functions, ensure timely collections, and maintain accurate financial records. This role will work closely with customers, sales, and accounting teams to resolve billing issues and improve cash flow.

• Process and post customer payments, including checks, ACH, wire, and credit cards
• Generate and distribute customer invoices and statements
• Monitor accounts receivable aging and follow up on past-due balances
• Perform collections via phone and email while maintaining positive customer relationships
• Research and resolve billing discrepancies, unapplied cash, and short payments
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer account records
• Reconcile AR sub-ledger to the general ledger
• Assist with month-end close and reporting related to accounts receivable
• Support audits by providing AR documentation and schedules
• Adhere to company policies, procedures, and internal controls
  
  

• 2-4 years of hands-on accounts receivable experience
• Strong understanding of billing, cash application, and collections processes
• Experience working in an ERP or accounting system
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (basic formulas, data entry, reporting)
• High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and organization
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  
  

• Experience in a high-volume or fast-paced accounting environment
• Exposure to month-end close processes
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  
  

• Office-based role in Moorpark, CA
• Standard business hours in a professional accounting environment
