About the Role A mission-driven nonprofit in Sacramento is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting Specialist to join its Finance team. This position is responsible for a range of accounting duties, including AP/AR and payroll duties.
Key Responsibilities
- Process AP/AR and payroll related task
- Verify invoice accuracy and approvals
- Manage check runs, deposits and ACH.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies and payment issues.
- Track AP aging and ensure compliance wiht audit requirements.
- Monitor AR aging reports, followup for overdue accounts.
- Reconcile customer accounts, process credit memos and adjustments
- Respond to customer billing inquiries
- Process payroll of 250 employees.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting Minimum of 3-5 years of accounting experience Strong knowledge of GAAP Nonprofit experience preferred Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, Word, and Outlook
