Senior Accountant - AP-Focused | Hybrid (Carlsbad) | Temp 3-4 MonthsWe are seeking a Senior Accountant with strong Accounts Payable and month-end close experience to support a large, established accounting team during a transition period. This temporary role focuses heavily on AP, reconciliations, year-end reporting (1098/1099s), and GL support.Assignment DetailsLocation: Carlsbad, CASchedule: Hybrid - 3 days onsite, 2 remote (flexible days)Duration: 3-4 months with possible extensionPay: $42-$49/hr DOEStart: ASAP (standard background, drug, and credit screening required)Key ResponsibilitiesSupport Accounts Payable processing, vendor-related tasks, and issue resolutionAssist with year-end reporting, including 1098s and 1099sPrepare and review month-end reconciliations and journal entriesProvide General Ledger support as needed during close cyclesPartner with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate transactional accountingIdentify opportunities for process improvement and assist with SOP updatesContribute to audit preparation and financial statement support activitiesRequired Experience5 years of accounting experience, with strong AP backgroundDemonstrated experience with month-end close, reconciliations, and journal entriesStrong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis)Ability to work independently and manage workload with minimal oversightExperience in mid-to-large corporate environmentsPreferred (Nice-to-Have)Workday and/or BlackLine ERP experienceExperience documenting or improving accounting processesExposure to auditing or financial statement supportAdditional InformationThis role supports a large, collaborative accounting team during a period of employee transitions and hiring.
