A well-established commercial property management company in Downtown San Diego is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join their accounting team. This role will handle the full-cycle AP process for a multi-entity portfolio, ensuring accurate coding, timely payments, and strong collaboration with property management and accounting staff. This is a Temp-to-hire role.Key Responsibilities:Process a high volume of invoices across multiple entities and properties, ensuring accurate coding to the correct GL accounts and property allocations.Match and verify invoices with purchase orders, contracts, and service agreements.Prepare weekly check runs, ACH payments, and credit card reconciliations.Review AP aging and assist with accruals and reconciliations during month-end close.Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.Maintain proper documentation, vendor files, and ensure compliance with W-9 and 1099 requirements.Partner with property managers and accounting staff to ensure timely payments of critical expenses such as taxes, insurance, and utilities.Support process improvement initiatives and assist during audits as needed.Qualifications:3 years of full-cycle Accounts Payable experience, ideally within property management or commercial real estate.Strong understanding of general ledger coding and property-level expense allocations.Associate or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.Experience working with property management systems; AppFolio experience preferred.Multi-entity accounting experience required.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.Excellent attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, national origin, age, ancestry, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, disability, medical condition, genetic information, pregnancy, or military or veteran status.
