Accounting Specialist

Position OverviewThe Accounting Assistant will play an integral role within the company's direct costing team. This position supports job cost accounting, serves as a backup for Accounts Payable, and assists with certified payroll reporting (similar to Union payroll). Due to the depth of training and responsibility, this is a permanent, full‑time onsite role with strong growth potential, particularly in payroll ownership.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport job cost accounting activities within the accounting department.Provide backup coverage for Accounts Payable functions.Prepare and maintain certified payroll reports in compliance with required standards.Assist with the transition to the Foundation ERP accounting platform.Collaborate closely with a small team of three within the direct costing area.Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and confidentiality across all accounting processes.QualificationsExperience in job cost accounting required.Working knowledge of payroll processes, ideally with exposure to certified or union payroll.Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.Ability to work onsite daily and contribute to a close‑knit team environment.Prior experience with ERP systems is a plus; willingness to learn the Foundation platform is essential.All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, national origin, age, ancestry, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, disability, medical condition, genetic information, pregnancy, or military or veteran status.
