Manufacturing Engineer
Our well-established global client is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer on a full-time, direct-hire basis. You’ll join the team at their high-tech facility in the NH Seacoast. Experience with Lean manufacturing and proven experience optimizing production are required.
Responsibilities of the Manufacturing Engineer
- Develop and implement new manufacturing processes and manufacturing technologies to support strategic objectives
- Manage updates and modifications to existing manufacturing processes to support new product launch, including review of new part prints and review of design for manufacturability
- Create cost comparisons and return on investment calculations to assist in supplier selection
- Partner with quality to create comprehensive control plan and quality checks to ensure a robust process is delivering good product to customers; account for required quality inspector checks
- Develop and maintain process documentation, including SOPs, work instructions, process flow diagrams, PFMEA, and process control plans; generate reports and present data on process performance and improvement initiatives
- Support day-to-day needs from operations in order for team to meet KPI’s standardization across all lines
- Lead the root cause failure analysis effort to ensure robust corrective actions are implemented
Qualifications of the Manufacturing Engineer
- 5-10 years’ experience in a fast-paced, customer-focused manufacturing environment
- Ability to read prints and understand geometric dimensions and tolerances
- Experience leading Kaizen initiatives
