Controller
Our client is seeking an experienced Controller to provide hands-on leadership for their team. This role offers a fast-paced, collaborative environment and comprehensive benefits.
Responsibilities of the Controller
- Manage all accounting, financial reporting, cash requirements, and tax preparation activities
- Prepare and analyze budgets, financials, and forecasts
- Provide leadership for short-term and long-term strategic planning
- Assist HR with benefits administration and payroll
- Establish strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Oversee billing and support contract administration
- Coordinate and participate in audits
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements
- Perform additional tasks and projects as required
Qualifications of the Controller
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting
- 10 years of well-rounded experience, including progressive financial leadership roles
- Proficiency with MS Office, especially Excel
- Advanced understanding of financial accounting, construction contracts, and progress (AIA) billing, tax preparation, and building and managing budgets
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong decision-making and time management abilities
