Accounting Manager
A well-established organization is seeking an Accounting Manager for their team! This full-time, direct-hire role is responsible for leading efficient accounting and reporting operations at the company’s Seabrook, NH office.
Responsibilities of the Accounting Manager
- Direct a team of four staff accountants and analysts
- Own the close process (general ledger maintenance, reconciliations, and intercompany transactions) for multiple entities
- Prepare and analyze financial reporting
- Manage budgeting and forecasting activities
- Ensure accuracy of financial, budgetary, and operating records
- Collaborate with management on effective use of resources, methods to free capital, and improvements to plans, processes, policies, and internal controls
Qualifications of the Accounting Manager
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting; Master’s or CPA a plus
- 5-8 years of relevant, progressive accounting experience
- 2 years of supervising staff, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Multi-entity experience
- Proficiency with MS Excel, accounting software suites; Sage and Private Wealth Systems or similar investment management/reporting system is a plus
- Strong knowledge of GAAP
- Attention to detail and ability to translate financial data into actionable insights
