Manufacturing Staff Accountant

Responsibilities of the Manufacturing Staff Accountant
- Process payroll and address related inquiries
- Assist with month-end closing procedures
- Reconcile and analyze key general ledger accounts
- Assist with annual financial statement, retirement plan and workers comp audit preparation to ensure accurate and timely information
- Track and maintain fixed asset ledger and record related transactions
- Assist with year-end physical inventory
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory standards
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
- Prepare reports
- Perform additional tasks and special projects as required
Qualifications of the Manufacturing Staff Accountant
- Bachelor’s degree in Business
- 2 years of accounting experience
- Prior payroll experience (ADP) a plus
- Basic understanding of ERP system (preferably Epicor)
- Intermediate Excel skills
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
