POSITION SUMMARY

Assist the project manager & superintendent with requests for information, requests for proposal, change management, submittals, updating project schedule, tracking of material or equipment deliveries, manpower, weekly progress meetings and significant scope or field changes.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Administer the efforts of project teams in strict accordance with the contract documents, company policies, owner/contractor contract, construction schedule and the level of excellence, characteristic with LeChase’s Corporate Mission and Vision Statements.
  2. Maintain a change log which will track all cost changes to the project.
  3. Receive all architectural design Request for Pricing (RFP’s) documents including drawings and sketches and create file folders for each issue. Upon subcontractor return of costed RFP it is the project engineer’s responsibility to review to assure proper scope and pricing.
  4. Review and confirm subcontract pricing for a change in scope is accurate and fair.
  5. Report to the team at weekly or bi-weekly meetings status of change issues currently open, and open Request for Information (RFI) documents, open submittals, long lead items, etc.
  6. Receive and process RFI questions from subcontractors and vendors to the architectural and engineering design team. Solve any technical questions first, if possible, prior to issuance to design team.
  7. Create and maintain a design team sketch log and file for field team’s review.
  8. Update project contract documents with pre-bid addendums and post bid modifications to ensure all drawings and specifications are up to date with the most recent changes.
  9. Track status of submitted change orders to ensure approvals of all changes are completed before any work begins.
  10. Maintain excellent working relations with owners, their representatives, architects, and engineers. Remember that you represent and are the Company to these important people. Pursue and obtain repeat business through complete customer satisfaction.
  11. Perform all other duties as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Education/Experience:
  • High School Diploma & OSHA 30 Training Required.
  • Vocational and/or college degree desirable.
  • Technical, mechanical, electrical, and communication knowledge desirable.


  1. Skills/Competencies:
  • Basic knowledge of safety policies and procedures.
  • Basic understanding of project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and extremely resourceful.
  • Ability to work effectively in individual or team settings.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  1. Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Performance of the required duties will require physical ability to climb permanent and temporary stairs, passenger use of construction personnel hoists, ability to climb ladders and negotiate work areas under construction. Performing this job requires use of hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, sit, talk and hear, stand, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Salary : $65,000 - $75,000
