What You'll Do:
- Teach social studies, including citizenship, history, and more, using a curriculum grounded in best practices and Pennsylvania standards
- Develop clear, creative lesson plans and select engaging instructional materials
- Adapt instruction to meet the needs of all students, including small group and individualized support
- Inspire positive classroom behavior and a supportive learning community
- Evaluate student progress and provide meaningful, constructive feedback
- Collaborate with colleagues to support every learner’s needs
- Take part in curriculum development, professional learning, and school-wide activities
Who You Are:
- You hold a bachelor’s degree and valid PA teaching certification in Social Studies (or be eligible)
- You’re comfortable using technology as a teaching tool (email, Word, spreadsheets, curriculum-based software)
- You believe in inclusive, differentiated instruction and are committed to helping every student succeed
- You communicate clearly and work well with students, parents, and fellow staff
- You’re organized, adaptable, and eager to learn new strategies
