What are the responsibilities and job description for the Substitute PM Custodian position at Lebanon School District (SAU 88)?
Job Overview:
The Lebanon School District is looking for a part-time Substitute PM Custodian. The position will cover various department absences on and on-call basis. The ideal candidate will need to be able to work independently, perform physical labor, communicate verbally and in writing, have some computer skills, have the ability to plan work around changing priorities, and be a team player.
Custodians must also have prior experience in custodial work or any equivalent combination
of experience and training which provides the following knowledge, abilities, and skills:
- Working knowledge of cleaning methods, materials, and equipment
- Making minor repairs and adjustments to a building's fixtures and equipment
- Ability to recognize unsafe hazards and report them promptly to the Director of Facilities
The regular work schedule is 8 hours a day, Monday-Friday with a 30-minute duty-free lunch. PM Custodians typical shift is 2:30pm – 11pm. As such, this position would also be eligible for an additional $.25 cents night shift hourly differential above base pay.
Requirements:
- Must pass a state and federal criminal background check
- Must have a positive attitude and great work ethic
- High School diploma or equivalent
Benefits:
Not eligible for benefits unless the position exceeds 90 workdays.

Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, lift and carry items. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items weighing up to 50 pounds. The employee must be able to drive and/or tow various equipment to include but not be limited to pickup trucks, landscaping tractors, fork lifts, sand-spreaders. Specific vision ability required by this job includes close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
