A fast-growing organization is looking for someone to take ownership of its accounting function and guide it through its next stage of scale.
Role Focus
- Managing day-to-day accounting activities, including general ledger oversight, revenue processes, accounts payable and receivable, payroll functions, and compliance requirements.
- Coordinating annual audit activities and serving as the primary point of contact for external audit teams.
- Preparing accurate financial statements each month, quarter, and year, ensuring they adhere to GAAP standards.
- Introducing and improving tools, automation, and internal controls to modernize the accounting environment.
- Working alongside FP&A partners on budgets, forecasts, and variance reviews.
- Helping different teams across the company refine and simplify financial processes as the organization grows.
- At least five years of hands-on accounting experience, ideally already operating at a Controller or Assistant Controller level.
- Exposure to a growing B2B SaaS environment and familiarity with the operational challenges of scaling a finance function.
- Strong command of technical accounting topics and GAAP.
- Proven experience leading full audit cycles; time spent at a Big 4 or mid-tier firm is a strong plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, along with an active CPA.
- Someone who enjoys building—systems, processes, and efficiencies—not just maintaining what already exists.
- Comfort working with automation tools and AI-enhanced financial platforms.
