Leapros Skilled Trades is actively hiring Low Voltage Cable Technicians in Nampa, ID. As a trusted partner in the construction industry, we connect top talent with top companies across the United States.Job Type: Contract to HirePay: $20-$28 per hourResponsibilities:Pull, route, and secure low-voltage cables including CAT 5/6, coaxial, and fiber optics in new construction environment.Install support structures, such as cable trays and conduit, for efficient cable routing.Troubleshoot cable infrastructure on commercial or industrial projects, identifying and resolving issues promptly.Collaborate with other trades and team members to complete projects.Rack and stack, closet work, and assembling server racks.Technician will install a work area outlet for on walls, in modular furniture, and in ceiling. WAO to be terminated CAT 6 & CAT 6A. Mount face plates and surface mount boxes correctly.Install grounding for racks, equipment and cable as required.Qualifications:Installing, terminating, splicing, testing Fiber optic cables is a plus.Installing Wireless Access PointsExperience installing analog CCTV systems and DVR's, CCTV IP Camera's, Access control systems, intercom systems, Networking equipment, wireless point-to-point, switches, and routers all a plus.Must know how to read blueprints, schematics, lay outs.Ability to coordinate with project management and installers.Knowledge of universal color codes for cable identification and labeling.Familiarity with industry standards such as EIA, TIA, BICSI, or NEC is not required, but preferred.Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Possession of necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) and basic hand tools.Reliable transportation.Physical Requirements:Must be able to sit, stand, talk or hear, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, stretch, twist, and/or reach out for prolonged periods of timeMust be able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds at waist height for short distances, and occasionally up to 100 pounds.Overhead lifting: Must be able to occasionally lift 50 pounds overhead for short distancesMust be able to push, pull and move up to 75 pounds at shoulder heightDexterity of hands and fingers to use toolsMust be able to regularly carry and climb ladders up to 20 feetAbility to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematicsAbility to use a computer and/or hand tools while sitting or standing for extended periods of timeMust be able to see and distinguish different colors, read small print and hear and recognize audible signals such as dial tonesMust be able to work in tight, confided spaces at timesMust be able to travel within territory as neededMust be aware of OSHA safety standardsNoise levels are typically moderatePay Transparency: A reasonable estimate of the available hourly pay scale for this position is $20-$28 per hour.
