Commercial Painters Needed!

Job Type: Contract
Pay: $20 to $26 Per Hour BOE

Responsibilities:

• Seeking experienced apprentice and lead painters dedicated to their trade with excellent craftsmanship and an outstanding work ethic is required.
• Must have own basic tools.
• Willingness to work as part of a team and on your own is expected. The ideal candidate will be capable of taking direction and criticism, be willing to learn and work well with others.
• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, scraping, and priming to ensure proper paint adhesion
• Apply paint, varnishes, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment
• Mix and match paint colors to meet client or project specifications
• Paint a variety of surfaces including drywall, wood, concrete, metal, and masonry
• Assess work areas and plan for materials, tools, and estimated time requirements
• Protect surrounding areas using drop cloths, tape, and other covering methods
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the worksite before, during, and after painting

Qualifications:

• High school or GED equivalent preferred.
• Any certifications: OSHA 10, OSHA 30, aerial lift, etc. preferred but not required.
• Must provide driver's license and proof of social security number.
• Brush, roll, and spray paint all types of surfaces, both interior and exterior.
• Experience in wall covering installation, staining and faux finishing preferred but not required.

Physical Requirements:

• Able to safely ascend/descend ladders, stairs, scaffolding, and lifts.
• Adhere to all company safety policies
• Able to frequently and safely lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to talk or hear, sit, stand, bend, stoop, stretch, twist, use hands, and/or reach out for prolonged periods of time
• Must have manual dexterity, a good sense of balance, and excellent hand-eye coordination
• Use their hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls
• Must be able to climb stairs, ladders, and poles.
• Must be physically capable of pulling wires and cables through conduits.
• Must be able to work in inclement weather conditions
• Must be able to work around wood dust and fumes
• Maybe exposed to heights and loud noises
• Must be able to see color to discern color-coded wiring
• Ability to lift and carry items up to 50 pounds.
• Must be aware of OSHA safety standards

Pay Transparency: A reasonable estimate of the available hourly pay scale for this position is $20 to $26 Per Hour BOE. The actual compensation offered may vary depending on qualifications and other factors essential to the performance of duties and is determined by the hiring authority.
