Responsibilities
Scheduler:
- Plan daily, weekly, and long-term production schedules to meet all customer and company ISO requirements while minimizing labor cost and maximizing plant capacity.
- Communicate or publish the production schedule and handle issues impacting the schedule.
- Monitor late items and open order reports, report dates on order status and monthly sales volumes to COO.
- Maintain accurate templates with bill of materials and routing for all production items.
Purchasing:
- Purchase materials and supplies to manufacture products as scheduled.
- Responsible for creating Purchase Orders for non-production items (e.g. capital purchases, office supplies, etc)
- Maintain inventory levels that do not exceed company needs nor create an out-of-stock position
- Maintain material records for all purchased items (e.g. supplier, pricing, ROP, price breaks, lead times, etc)
- Maintain all existing and new vendor records and materials (e.g., names, addresses, contacts, active/inactive)
- Close out completed Purchase Orders quarterly
- Assist in tracking inventory accuracy
- Verify accuracy of receipts made by Receiving
- Participate in the Production/Sales Order meetings and provide information on availability of materials
- Seek out and qualify new vendors
- Maintain delivery performance records for vendors and assist Quality Department in the qualification of new vendors
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Five (5) years of proven experience in supply chain management, production planning, or purchasing within a manufacturing environment
- Strong proficiency with ERP systems such as IQMS or similar platforms
- Knowledge of supplier assessments and qualifications and ability tobtain favorable terms.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing methodologies and demand planning techniques
- Ability to analyze data for forecasting purposes and adjust plans proactively
- Formal purchasing experience, training or education is required, plastics industry experience is a plus
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating across departments and negotiating with suppliers
- Competent and up to date computer skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration or related field is preferred

Pay: $60,000.00 - $72,000.00 per year
