- Supervise and manage a group of up to 15 students during afterschool hours.
- Take daily attendance and ensure accurate record-keeping.
- Maintain a safe, structured, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Implement and follow the daily program schedule as outlined by the Site Director.
- Facilitate group projects, enrichment activities, and recreational programming that support student growth.
- Provide homework support and encourage academic success.
- Promote positive behavior management and conflict resolution.
- Build supportive relationships with students while serving as a positive role model.
- Communicate with Site Director regarding student needs, challenges, or incidents.
- Assist with program events, family engagement activities, and other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework in education, youth development, or related field preferred.
- Prior experience working with children in a school, camp, or community setting strongly preferred.
- Strong classroom and behavior management skills.
- Ability to lead engaging activities for children in both academic and enrichment areas.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable, flexible, and able to work collaboratively as part of a team.

The LEAP | Extended Day Program provides students with a safe, structured, and engaging environment beyond the regular school day. The program is designed to support academic growth, social development, and enrichment through a variety of learning experiences. Students receive homework help, tutoring, hands-on projects, and opportunities to participate in enrichment activities such as STEM, arts, health and wellness, and leadership development. LEAP aims to strengthen skills, build confidence, and create opportunities for students to explore their interests while forming positive relationships with peers and staff. The Group Facilitator is responsible for creating a positive, safe, and engaging environment for students enrolled in the LEAP | Extended Day Program. This position will report directly to the LEAP | Extended Day Site Coordinator and will oversee groups of up to 15 students.
