We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated In-Home Caregiver to provide exceptional support and care to individuals in their own homes. Avon location is looking for a non-smoker, loves cats, able to drive the client in your personal vehicle to appointments, errands, and activities.
Weekly hours are a total of 27 per the client's waiver. Schedule would be 6 hours a day 3 days a week (days are flexible), and 3 evenings Tues/Thursday/Saturday, 4-7 pm.
Must have a driver's license, proof of insurance, and a personal vehicle.
A meet-and-greet will be required with the client before a final job offer.
Duties
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support.
- Monitor patients’ health by observing changes and reporting findings accurately and promptly to agency staff.
- Medication reminders, prepare nutritious meals, and assist with feeding as needed.
- Provide companionship and emotional support, engaging clients in social activities and communication to promote mental well-being.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and organizing living spaces.
- Support clients in assisting with transportation for appointments or errands.
- Document all care activities accurately in client records, including patient observations, medication reminders, and any incidents or changes in condition.
Experience
- Certification in CPR and a negative TB test are required.
- Prior experience working in home health care, assisted living facilities, or nursing homes is a plus but not necessary to apply.
- Demonstrated ability to provide patient personal care assistance and support individuals with disabilities.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations ensures compliance with privacy standards during all caregiving activities.
- Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and collaboration with healthcare teams are essential to success in this role.
