What are the responsibilities and job description for the Analyst, Client Accounts position at Lawyers On Demand?
Lawyers on Demand, a Consilio Company, is currently seeking a contract Analyst, Client Accounts to support one of our prestigious law firm clients for a hybrid assignment.
This is onsite 3 days per week and remote 2 days per week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Record and maintain detailed communication logs between clients, attorneys, and accounting staff using ARCS Collections Software for transparency and future reference
- Conduct in-depth research on client billing and payment history to identify trends and anticipate potential collection challenges
- Analyze account data to detect and resolve issues affecting billing and collections; develop strategies to improve collection performance
- Collaborate with the Accounts Receivable team to ensure accurate application of incoming client payments and streamline related processes
- Partner with the Billing team to provide client updates and recommend escalation strategies for overdue accounts
- Exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality in all financial transactions and interpersonal interactions, in line with firm policies
- Track and report key performance metrics for management and monthly inventory reviews
- Manage receivables for transitioning Partners, ensuring timely resolution and adherence to firm procedures
- Request and process write-off approvals with thorough documentation, following firm guidelines
- Handle escalated accounts by coordinating with third-party collection agencies and monitoring progress
- Generate ad hoc reports for Accounting leadership and other firm stakeholders to support strategic decision-making
- Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in collections operations
- Adapt to changing priorities, peak periods, and new assignments as needed
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience in accounting or business operations; experience in legal or professional services is a plus
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with excellent attention to detail
- Effective written and verbal communication skills; able to interact confidently across all levels of the organization
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel; advanced knowledge of accounting and business software systems required
