Lawyers On Demand, a Consilio company, is actively recruiting for a contract, Litigation Paralegal for one of our prestigious Law Firm clients in Temecula, CA. We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive individual with 3–5 years of experience in Federal and California Superior Courts. This role is ideal for a candidate who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes ownership of their work, and has a strong foundation in litigation support across jurisdictions nationwide.
This is an on-site position that could lead to remote for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft and review litigation documents including pleadings, case initiation documents, subpoenas, and discovery requests/responses.
- Conduct legal research, particularly on local court rules and procedures across multiple jurisdictions.
- Manage complex litigation calendars, ensuring accurate scheduling and deadline tracking in compliance with court rules.
- File documents electronically using California Superior Court systems and the Federal CM/ECF platform.
- Interact professionally with clients, courts, and opposing counsel.
- Maintain and organize case files using document management systems (NetDocuments or similar).
- Assist attorneys with trial preparation, including exhibit organization, witness coordination, and logistics.
- Support e-discovery efforts using relevant platforms and tools.
- Work independently and collaboratively within a team to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
Required Qualifications:
- 3–5 years of litigation paralegal experience, with demonstrated expertise in Federal and California Superior Courts.
- Multi-jurisdictional litigation experience, including familiarity with local rules and procedures in various state and federal courts.
- Strong understanding of court procedures and calendaring requirements across jurisdictions.
- Proficiency in electronic filing systems (CM/ECF and California courts).
- Experience with document management platforms (NetDocuments preferred or similar).
- Prior use of e-discovery platforms and understanding of e-discovery processes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work overtime as needed.
