Duties
- Operate tow trucks, including flatbed and vehicle recovery towing, to transport vehicles safely and efficiently
- Perform minor mechanical vehicle repairs and basic troubleshooting to assist with roadside issues
- Secure vehicles onto tow trucks following cargo securement protocols to prevent damage during transit
- Conduct automotive diagnostics to identify mechanical issues requiring towing or repair
- Load and unload vehicles with precision, ensuring safe vehicle loading onto tow trucks at all times
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with clients and assisting with roadside emergencies
- Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of manual transmission trucks and adherence to traffic laws during commercial truck driving
Skills
- Proven experience in automotive diagnostics, automotive repair, and vehicle mechanics for truck drivers
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, basic vehicle troubleshooting, and minor mechanical repairs
- Skilled in commercial driving with a valid driver’s license for commercial trucks and experience operating flatbed tow trucks
- Expertise in cargo securement protocols and safe vehicle loading techniques on tow trucks
- Excellent conflict management skills to handle challenging situations professionally
- Familiarity with vehicle recovery towing procedures and safe operation of tow truck equipment
- Exceptional customer service skills combined with clear communication abilities
