About The Job
Mastercard is hiring for the position of Counsel within its Global Business Solutions Center (GBSC) Legal Services team.
The role focuses on end-to-end contract management, supporting business operations, and delivering efficient legal solutions across global markets.
Responsibilities
- Handle end-to-end contract lifecycle from request to execution
- Review, draft, and negotiate commercial contracts such as:
- NDAs and confidentiality agreements
- Software license and service agreements
- Consulting and vendor agreements
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, laws, and regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with business teams and subject matter experts
- Analyze contract terms and manage risk
- Deliver high-quality, timely legal support aligned with service standards
- Ensure compliance with Mastercard’s security policies
- Maintain confidentiality and integrity of information
- Report any security concerns
- Complete mandatory security trainings
- LL.B. graduate
- Strong legal and business acumen
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
- Customer-focused mindset
- Experience with contract negotiation and commercial agreements
- Knowledge of international legal systems (US, EU, Middle East, APAC, etc.)
- Ability to exercise independent judgment and escalate issues appropriately
