Name of the Post: Legal Associate
Eligibility
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in law (LL.B. / LL.M) from a recognized institution.
- 2–3 years of PQE in contract management or legal roles.
- Strong knowledge of contract law, corporate law, and litigation processes.
- Experience in legal research and advisory, with exposure to IPR and data privacy.
- Excellent drafting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail in reviewing legal documents.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to explain legal concepts to non-legal stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Proficiency in MS Office and legal research tools.
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts, including vendor, service, partnership, NDA, and distribution agreements.
- Review and respond to legal notices, demand notices, and formal communications in coordination with internal teams and external counsel.
- Ensure accuracy and legal compliance of all contracts and documentation.
- Manage and resolve legal queries and support successful contract negotiations.
- Develop compliant contracts that optimize commercial terms while minimizing legal risks.
- Maintain a contract repository and track renewals.
- Identify potential legal risks and collaborate with cross-functional teams to mitigate them.
- Liaise with external legal counsel/firms to represent the company in legal matters.
