- Conduct comprehensive legal research using tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case development and legal analysis.
- Assist attorneys with drafting, proofreading, and editing legal documents including contracts, pleadings, and correspondence.
- Manage case files and documents through systems like iManage and document management software to ensure accuracy and accessibility.
- Perform detailed document review and data entry for litigation cases, estate planning files, or regulatory compliance projects.
- Support project management tasks by organizing files, tracking deadlines, and coordinating meetings or interviews with clients or witnesses.
- Prepare summaries of legal findings and assist with the drafting of reports or memos for internal use or client updates.
- Provide administrative support such as filing documents electronically or physically, managing calendars, and maintaining organized records.
- Proven paralegal experience with familiarity across multiple practice areas including estate planning, environmental law, family law, securities law, tribal law, patent law, and workers' compensation law.
- Strong research skills utilizing LexisNexis and Westlaw platforms to gather relevant legal information efficiently.
- Experience with legal case management systems like PCLaw and document management tools such as iManage.
- Excellent writing skills for drafting legal documents and correspondence with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in legal administrative tasks including filing, data entry, proofreading, transcription, and document review.
- Knowledge of UCC law (Uniform Commercial Code), landlording-tenant issues, immigration regulations, patent procedures, and securities regulations is highly desirable.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
