Job Summary:
We are seeking a driven and experienced Civil Litigation Attorney to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about litigation, possess strong legal acumen, and have a proven track record in managing complex civil cases from inception through trial and appeal.
Key Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in a broad range of civil litigation matters, including commercial disputes, contract claims, personal injury, and real estate issues
- Conduct detailed legal research and draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and settlement agreements
- Manage all phases of litigation: case evaluation, discovery, negotiation, mediation, and trial preparation
- Advocate on behalf of clients in court proceedings and settlement conferences
- Maintain clear and consistent communication with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel
- Collaborate with partners and other team members to develop case strategies
- Stay up-to-date with changes in civil law, local court rules, and relevant regulations
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
- Admission to the Maryland State Bar is required
- Minimum of 3 years of civil litigation experience preferred
- Strong trial experience and courtroom presence strongly desired
- Excellent analytical, writing, and oral advocacy skills
- Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines efficiently
- Professional demeanor with strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
Salary and Other Compensation:
The base salary for this position is between $120,000 – $160,000 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
